About Geoff

I've been following baseball since the mid-'70s. Although I grew up in Los Angeles rooting for the Dodgers, I've been living in San Diego for many years and since then, the Padres have been my team. It's a little complicated, but there you go.

I originally created Ducksnorts as a way to learn about Web technologies and to inflict my thoughts about baseball on others. In addition to Ducksnorts, I also write about general baseball topics at Hardball Times and Baseball Digest Digest.

I have written and self-published the 2007 Ducksnorts Baseball Annual (foreword by Padres CEO Sandy Alderson), the 2008 Ducksnorts Baseball Annual (foreword by former Padres TV broadcaster Matt Vasgersian), and the 2009 Ducksnorts Baseball Annual (foreword by Padres Executive Vice President Paul DePodesta).
