About Geoff

I've been following baseball since the mid-'70s. Although I grew up in Los Angeles rooting for the Dodgers, I've been living in San Diego for many years and since then, the Padres have been my team. It's a little complicated, but there you go.

I originally created Ducksnorts as a way to learn about Web technologies and to inflict my thoughts about baseball on others. In addition to Ducksnorts, I also write about general baseball topics at Knuckle Curve, Hardball Times, and Baseball Digest Daily, as well as about music and life at my personal blog, Mental Shrapnel.

I have written and self-published the 2007 Ducksnorts Baseball Annual (foreword by Padres CEO Sandy Alderson) and the 2008 Ducksnorts Baseball Annual (foreword by Padres TV broadcaster Matt Vasgersian).
